what size to buy?

Want to buy a offset and wondering what size to
buy. I likcee to make brisket. At times I like to cook for my friends I have cooked two 15 lb briskets, fajitas and sausage. So I am looking for something that I can cook two briskets at the sametime. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Sounds like a 20" would work fine, although most times I would recommend to over buy if you can afford it, however I have cooked two briskets (12 lb'rs) in a 16" grill that was 32" long with no firebox.

20" x42 would be a great size pit for cooking around the house........I alwasy say never buy less than 24" diameter ......in the future you will want/need the extra room...

Excellent choice if you decide to go with the Gator. I've had mine (20 x 32 Backyard Classic) since last May and have been very happy with it.

I have a 20x40 Party Gator and love it. Gator fit/finish/quality is 2nd to none - no air leaks whatsoever. Great choice that will last a lifetime is properly cared for.

Found mine on craigslist for $350. 1/4" steel with offset firebox, and the guy had just put a new coat of high temp paint on it. Of course the firebox paint has already started peeling off, but I think that's to be expected. I think mine's 18X40 unless I measured wrong, but in hindsight, I would like the diameter to be a little bigger.

I like the recommendation for a 20x40. I have a 20x32 and have cooked two briskets and couple of chickens at the same time, but it was a tight fit. A couple of more inches would only help.

Im gonna put my Redneck Custom Gator, on the market.......Built in 2008, this pit has dozens of GC's on it and cooks great...it will hold 14 packer briskets....tuning plates and insulated firebox...sink......$6750 Cash.....

My Klose is a 36 and love it. Can do probably 4 big briskies on the bottom rack and then load a couple racks of spares up on the mezzanine rack.
