Hrm...

Postby Que'a Syde » Tue Jan 18, 2011 11:32 pm

I am looking into getting a new pit... I plan on spending possibly 5k on it. I was looking at the economy jambo..they look like solid pits and well made..Can ayone tell me how they compare to the obvious favs of yalls..I plan on using this for Comps as well as the odd family function... let the fun begin

Jambos are good. A Gator might be a little better.
Hopefully 3 Star Redneck will chime in on this. He is very knowlegable about realy good pits!

You wont get much pit from Jambo for 5-6K, his pit are good but IMHO Gator are the best mobile pit on the road. Foer that kind pf monry Ritch (the Owner) can build you a truely custom pit by your design....You owe it to yourself to call Ritch or visit at www.gatorpit.net Tell Him Redneck sent ya and he will hook you up....If you need anythig dont hesitat to send me a PM....best of luck

I build smokers on the side. Take a look at some of the pictures I have posted on here of my builds. If you let me know what you want I can tell you what I can do. I am finishing of a small 24" smoker now and then I am looking for my next build.
The picture here is a 42" long 30" Dia. smoker I made for a guy in Dallas. The pipe is 3/8" thick and the bottom of the fire box is 1/2".

Jambo & Gator both are excellent pits and you will not go wrong with either.

But, for 5-6K or less, there are some great deals on pits on Craigslist. Small backyard, trailer pits and covered catering pits. Worth a look and it changes daily.
