Plasma cutters are nice, but pricy.
Wire welders are nice to have to, but be sure you get one that will weld thick enough material, and I recomend the regular wire, not flux core.

I did my whole pit with a cutting torch and a stick welder, and it shows!

plasma is nice but very high , i like stick welders , just because i dont have much exp. with wire . but a good grinder can make it look better.

LRC, no wire exp here either but I have been told that you can weld like a pro with a wire welder with very little practice. And I am just sick to death of grinding!
I do intend to get a wire welder for my next project and find out if that is true.
Anyone?

Plasma cutting, micro wire with gas, only way to go. My humble thoughts. CF :D

i know what ya mean on the grinding , the few times i have used a wire welder i had to grind , but i think with practice and learning the settings i could do it , also i hear you have to keep the tip clean and out of the wind .
