six guns pit build updates

Postby Pony Express » Sat Aug 29, 2009 2:32 pm

was so proud of myself today. Had to cut a circle out of 1/4 steel plate. So I concocted a way to do it and it worked real well

welded one half of a barrel hinge to the center of the circle

welded the other half to a piece of 1 inch angle and then clamped that to the cutting torch

heres the 5/8 tubing I bought that fits 1/2 inch rod

That is too cool! I have ZERO metal skills and am constantly amazed of those, like you, who do!

Pony thats "Cowboy Engineering" at it's best. My Paw Paw taught me long ago "use what you see don't see what you can use" There was lots of knowledge under that sweat stained battered Stetson, but that 1 piece i have never forgot and has pulled me out of some tight places. Ya done good!
