what is in the peppers? cream cheese? they look delicious and have inspired me for this weekend. too bad its only tuesday

The traditional ABT started out with a jap pepper cut in half, filled with cream cheese and a little smokey sausage then wrapped in bacon... Of course, you can stuff what ever you want in there! Careful, because they are time consuming to assemble and extremely addictive!
I like to mix the cream cheese with shredded pepper jack and as of late, I've been putting a slice of steak in the pepper before I wrapped it up (wonder where I got that idea?).

that does sound good to me. maybe we have another idea for a dinner when i come back to dallas. but i know one thing my mouth still has blisters i think. lol. but we had a blast with it. thanks bluzz and lazzy.

well i think the protocall is that the worms have to presoak in mezcal first, then i think thats what you put jalapenos then wrap in bacon
