Your Pit/Cooker's Name

Postby Southern Pride BBQ » Sat Jun 06, 2009 8:57 pm

I'm sure this has been posted before, but this is kinda funny. My wife and I moved into a house about two years ago. It does not have a fence. She's been wanting a Privacy fence since we have moved in. Well when I started competition cooking I had a little bity pit. So I got her to agree to let me get a bigger pit. After it was all said and done she realized we paid as much for my pit then we would have for the privacy fence. Hence she calls my pit as such. The "privacy fence" !!!!

IF you can't Barbeque with the big dogs, stay on the Porch !!!

Now, I'm gonna put this charcoal in a nice Geometrical shape, called a PILE......

Mine just calls mine "Big Ugly Pit"... Of course I've also got the "Ugly Barrel Pit", the "Ugly Grill" and... well the list goes on.

I refer to my Gator pit as "Kila Imu", my 18" WSM is "Li`i" and the 22" WSM "Nui". Kila and imu are Hawaiian words for steel and pit, hence it is my "steel pit", Li`i and Nui means small and large respectively. Haven't coined names for the Kettles, other large grills and rotisseries yet.

Great looking pit you have! Thanks for sharing.

Wish I you was Dats, cause we have asked our nieghbor to help us with the cost (cause it the only side of THEIR yard not fenced in) and they kinda looked at us like we asked them to an Algebra question.
