Got a chance to season the smoker in this weekend. Still have a few small things to do (spring handles, screw in dampers, drill thermometer holes, etc...), but it'll be ready for food once I tune it in and see how my temp variance is. Last check on the oven therm. inside read 475*. Probably would go higher, but no real need to keep throwing the wood in, IMO. Hopefully I find a decent trailer to mount it too soon, but it'll do fine standing on this one for now.

Great looking pit. You did a geat job on that one, Now I am looking forward to seeing that one fired up with meat on it. Way to go!!!
