Our Pit

Postby BrisketGrease » Tue Apr 14, 2009 10:23 am

My brother and I built this one together. He did all the welding, and I helped where I could.

True...it does go through some wood. The smoke box opposite the fire box is closed off from the smoke most of the time. Temp gets up to around 150-175 in that box. Perfect for keeping meat warm.

Hasn't been an issue yet. Been pulling it for about 5 years now. You can see it lean just a little to the heavy side. The trailer is actually a 20' Car Hauler, so it's a little beefier than your normal flat bed trailer.

Sorry the delay. Not sure what size, but I just call it big. It was a propane tank behind a really old house that burned down. Took a bull dozer to drag the tank out of the weeds and bamboo like plants. In fact, we had to use a chain saw just to cut a walking path to get to it and connect the chain. I think we paid $50 for the tank.
