Going fri to pick up some flat #9 expanded metal, 1/4" 4x8 sheet steel and some 3" C channel for the trailer. hope to find some axels soon.

The scrap yard would give you alot more than $50 for that 250. Good Score. Are you going to use the little one as a verticle or a grill?

Re: smoker build coming soon
Thats a good idea Dat I might do that later on.
The smaller tank will set on top of the firebox for a vertical cook chamber / holding chamber like the lang 84D.
That way I can cook for a smaller crowd with less fuel and not have to heat up the main chamber.
I have talked with the local HD and I hope to start doing a little catering or roadside vending.
I want to build one that I wont outgrow for a while, I think this one will fit the bill.

Re: smoker build coming soon
Went to 2 scrapyards today one sells new and used picked up 3 new sheets of #9 expanded steel. I picked up a 4X9 sheet and a cut off piece 31" x 4' of 1/4" thick plate for scrap price.30
Called my friend who now is the teacher at our old Vo-Tec welding shop, they have a huge metal sheer and got my firebox all cut out.
well my funds are depleted for a few weeks after todays run.
next on the list is some 3" C channel and springs and axels for the trailer.
