I'm looking into buying another smoker, need advice

Postby Delaware Smoker » Tue Feb 24, 2009 11:53 pm

I have a CG,which I love. But on windy days,it's tough keeping the temps up.In Delaware,we have alot of windy days.I'm talking about 20-40 miles wind.I don't want too replace my CG,just want a back up,for the windy days.I want one that is air tight,& won't use alot of fuel.So who owns a smoker like what I'm looking for?
Thanks,Bill

Don't know what your budget is, but one of these cabinet style smokers would be right up your alley... Have never heard any thing bad about any of 'em.

Another would be Spicewine smokers. I have been cooking on one for a few years and love it.

Or if you don't need a big capacity, you might consider a ceramic like BGE or Primo. They would be very versatile. Smoke, grill, do pizza.

Or you might consider a small electric smoker like Bradley or Masterbuilt. You could also use it for cold smoking sausage and other foods.

Not sure of your price range or how big of a unit you need. :D

Think ceramic  BGE - Primo - Grill Dome - they hold heat and use don't use a lot of fuel. I'm smoked on Einstein when a blizzard came out of no where and it didn't skip a beat. Now shoveling snow to get to the cooker...
