I really do appreciate all the help. The outlaw looked to be very stable in temperature when it got to where it wanted to sit. And with the ability to actually tell what temperature it is, things should get easier and better!

I didn't spice half the ribs for the kid, and he practically inhaled them. I have a plan to do two briskets next weekend. I mentioned it to my neighbour and he asked if I could throw one on for him at the same time. I told him I couldn't promise anything but I'd give it a shot.

Well, this brit just came one step closer to Texas "y'all"!

The Outlaw should handle three packer briskets no problem, although if it were me, I would rotate them every few hours.

I phoned them back today. They couldn't see the photos, but are going to send out all the replacement parts that arrived damaged!

Amazing!!

Well, chopped up the metal sheet. it fit perfectly!

It was a little small so it doesn't have a front, but when it finishes rusting through I can buy a new sheet and make a new one with a front!

FYI - the paint on your SFB WILL burn off on top in no-time. Don't waste your time trying to sand down and re-paint. Just keep it oiled after each use and it will keep the rust at bay. If taken care of properly, the unit will far outlast the money invested in it. I know I've used my Chargriller well beyond it's intended use, and it really is just getting broke in after 5 years. For the price, it's a great starter pit.

They followed through. That's pretty amazing.

I got a new bottom of the pit, legs, and a new firebox as the originals all got bent in the box.

Also cotter pins (only got one originally) and new wheel caps.

Crumbs...
