I am thinking some snazzier rims would look really nice on the Cooker. Any suggestions ?? Do you have to have specific rims for Trailer use or as long as the bolt pattern lines up?

long at the bolt pattern is the same. Be careful of offset on rims. Most likely they are chevy rims.

I bought aluminum rims with zero degree offset at our local chain, Discount tire and paid $75 each which included caps and lugs. These are rated for 2100 lbs each and I think they look pretty good.

very nice build. Have you smoked anything in it yet?

Stymie - I used it all last football season. I did my first comp(backyarder category ) last October and used it. Got 1st place in ribs. It is a reall workhorse.

I could have bought cheap imports for $60-75 but negotiated $100 each for load range D P225/75 15 Carlisle

keep in mind, trailer tires are often abused and overlooked, and last a long time. Get good ones.

how often do you see a guy w/ a trailer fixing a flat on his tow vehicle,,, you don’t, the flat is always on his trailer.

I agree about the cheap tires and flats/blowouts going hand in hand and have pulled trailers several hundred thousand miles on this brand and seen them out perform others many times over.

I have carlisles on my 250 cooker and they pull like a dream, I agree about not getting the chepies if you can afford not to

I am getting ready to build a smoker and am really interested in your design of having a pipe deliver the smoke and heat into the cook chamber.
Can you tell me more about this design including how the temps vary across the chamber?
Also, what about the grease? How do you get rid of it? Does it just burn off when it hits the pipe or do you have a drain? If so how did you arrange that inside the cook chamber.

here is a pic of the pipe (11" diameter) that will be sealed in the firebox and runs the length of the cooking chamber, i think its half inch thick
