Cpt Ron, who just recently joined the forum, has a website (you can click the link via Membership button) for his Susquehanna Blue Smoke comp team. Anyway, on his site he has link to the manufacturer of his cooker.

This cooker has captured my attention. It's not a huge beast by any means but looking at some of the owner photos, it can easily hold 16 butts. It can also doulbe as a grill.
So.....anyone here (other than Cpt Ron who hasn't posted anything yet ) know anything about these cookers?

I have never seen one in my neck of the woods. But looking at the photos there are lots of happy campers. The pit looks good. CF

The site says the walls are 11 gage (1/4"). Wondering if thats thick enough? I've seen other cookers that are 3/8", which seems to be the standard for commercial pits. What am I missing?

You are so right. I read the chart I found on sheet metal wrong
That said, I can't even type. The body is 11 gauge and the fire box is 10 gauge but double walled. So, I'm thinking less than1/8" is pretty thin for a the body. But they weight about 1,000lbs, all that sheet metal must add up fast.
