Just an Idea, for my firebox I went to the local hardware store and found some of those cheap welding chipping hammers, cut off the hammer part and WALA I had a handle.....LOL
There not stainless, but saved some bucks. I gave less than 5 bucks a piece for the whole hammer and the standard steel springs with freight was going to be more than that....

It kinda reminds me of a big bomb or missile, maybe paint it up to look like one. You could paint the pit part black and the fire box to look like flames...
I think the architecture sort of speaks for itself as is...no sure I would add much more on - but decisions like this take a considerable amount of brain power. I'll noodle on it.
