A new and larger 22" WSM. I read this on the Vitual Weber site. Good read and pics.

There must me a makeover for the smaller WSM also. Mine don't have the ash catcher on the bottom or the therm in the lid.

I would have to see it in person, but I don't think I like the pan either. I don't have an issue with mine now, and on the bigger one, the pan doesn't look big enough to be of any value at all.

I like the look, its about time for the therm but I don't see the purpose of an ash pan unless what Dats said or the give it that 'weber' look. Well actually according to the post, they're callin it a drip pan to catch liquid from the bottom dampers. Hmmm, I never had that problem but maybe the new design shows more liquids dripping outta the dampers

What I read was that it isn't an ashtray, rather a drip tray to catch drips before they stain your deck/patio.
If you think the "old" smoker is a fuel hog, wait till you fill up the tank on the Big Bullet.
Water pan holds 3 gallons...wonder how much sand that equates to?

well I don't know about you but the only thing that stains my patio/driveway is the spicewine when I open the door.
There is no sign of moisture coming out of the vents of my WSM during cooks <--- (rarely used icon I like)
And I would agree about being a fuel hog. I thought I was the only one. My WSM sucks down charcoal like it's going outta style

I don't leak anything out my vents either that I know of. Maybe these are positioned different, which wouldn't make much sense. They work fine now.
Now the fuel hog thing Since maybe I haven't had a fuel efficient cooker, I don't know if mine uses too much or not.
I assure you it's better than the Chargriller I used to have
