Mahalo nui PT for that info. I can get cottonwood for the pit from my friends in the tree trimming biz but since they bring me alder, maple and sometimes madrona probably be best not to use cottonwood. They did bring me a dozen rounds but I will just wait till wintertime to split. Thanks for that tip.
