smokers

How many smokers are built out of propane tanks ? Would they make good smokers if you can get them ? And would people buy them if you could make them reasonable? Mainly on wheels and some for backyards?

Agree with PT, lots of them out there. Ben Lang has been making them for years.

I'd say there are more pits built out of propane tanks that anything else! If your going to do it, find someone who knows how to cut them open safely...

Dittos to whut them others say. Prob mo pits built out of wore out propane tanks than any other thing..cept maybe 55 gallon barrells. Sorta like which gun has killed the most deer. I think it be a toss up twixt a .30-30 and a .22.

I'd bet a 7.62 mm would be right up there (think M14),

As for using propane tanks for smokers, can't take issue with any said in the prior posts. I do know that unless the tank is NEW (as in never uses), it would be a good idea to have the cutting done my someone else cause we don't want to be send knee-mail your direction. 8)

Now I aint never even heard of a Bambi slayer using a M-14. Prob been mo bad guys killed by SWAT teams with a 7.62 mm/ .308 than any other round. Not sure why they like em so good. Think I druther have a .416 Rigby Nitro Express. That outta anchor em down purty good. Wouldnt even need a head shot with that one:)
