First Burn on Propane Tank to Remove Residue...
I'm building my first smoker trailer out of an old 120 gallon propane tank. I've read that you're supposed to burn the inside of the tank to remove any chemicals or propane residue still lining the inside of the tank. Do any of you know for how long or up to what temp I should do this? Sorry for the dumb question, but I'm new to propane tank smoker conversions.

Bust up a couple of wood pallets and let it burn for a few hours. Maybe scrape/wire wheel before and after the burn out as well.

I have never burnt one out meaning I just wash them out and build by the time your'e done the residue will be gone. Simple green or Dawn dish soap works great just rinse it out really well.
