In-ground pit smoker question
I have a in ground fire pit made from three pieces of 30" pipe cut in half and welded together (3 leaf clover)about 3-4 feet in length (need to dig out). They are sunk in the ground and cemented in the patio with 6" stem wall around the pipe and I have a 1/4 inch steel lid that covers pit and almost all the cement stem wall. My question is how do I turn this into a smoker? Do I use it like a UDS or a small offset or ???? by putting intake and exhaust in lid.Any input is welcome. thanks!
