OldUsedParts wrote:Hey Hogaboomer, I have my Bro in Law looking for a piece of pipe for you. They have a place in Winnie and also Marble Falls so maybe he can get you what you need. So far this is his reply to my questions about locating what you need.

The guy will be back at his shop Monday but thinks he has a piece that will work...where does your friend live? Do we ship it to him?

If he comes up with something, then I'll just put Y'all in touch with each other, OK :?:
Thanks! I could make a drive to Winnie, but I don't think I want to pay shipping from Marble Falls.
My boss claims he will get me a piece, but so far he's just all talk.

Supposedly this will be located in the Winnie area and after I hear from my B.I.L. on, Monday, hopefully, I'll have all the info for you :salut:

So, my foreman finally came through with a piece of 6 inch and also a couple of spare pieces of 24 inch, so I can finish the first build properly. But I can always use more for future builds... still interested in the Winnie pipe. :)

Just now seeing all this, wow! I was pretty busy the last few days trying to finish up the build, got it just about done. Just need to put the thermometers in and put some kind of latch mechanism on the firebox door.I haven't called the man in Winnie yet, but I will. And k.a.m. too, that's awesome! I'll call you tomorrow when I get in from work, around 7 pm. I work weekend shift welding at the Team fab shop in Port Arthur, that gives me the rest of the week off to work on pits. You guys are great!!! Here's the latest pic, got a few more things done after this, re-did the door hinges and put the wood grate in the bottom.
