There appears to be a Bass Pro in Tsawwassen, BC. Might be able to order a stick burner through them. They got a few training wheels models, and maybe don’t charge import duties (?) and maybe they can pick it up so no shipping.
Or, as Papa Tom once demonstrated, you can make a cool smoker outta a cardboard box ...

BE WELL, BUT NOT DONE
Hank: "Do you know how to jumpstart a man's heart with a downed power line?"
Bobby: "No."
Hank: "Well, there's really no wrong way to do it."

I would recommend a Weber kettle. It’s not a traditional offset stick burner with the firebox off to the side. But you can burn wood chunks or chips. Get a true bark on a brisket, pork butt, and everything else you cook on it.

That slo-n-sear cost waaaaaaay to much $ for my wallet. I generally use the Weber charcoal baskets with three tomato cans filled with water up against the baskets. you can buy two maybe three Weber kettles for the price of that thing!

You can see about an Oklahoma Joe or an Old Country Pecos smoker. Maybe the cost to ship that won’t be too much?
