First cooker build

Postby Brian » Wed Aug 15, 2018 8:31 am

I am building my first cooker it's a 150 propane tank. It's about 6 ft long. I all ready cut the doors and added the trays to it. The problem I am running in to I was going t ok add gas to it but having so much trouble with getting the gas to work right so I decided to put it on hold of now and add fire box to it, so what I need to know what size, what gauge metal should I use and does anyone have any good pictures of one that I could look at to get a good idea on how and where to place. Any ideas will help out. Will be posting some pictures soon of the build.

There is a bbq calculator for the right size firebox and much more somewhere on this site search —Feldon’s calculator.
