Breathing some new life....

Postby bondobill » Sun May 20, 2018 9:21 pm

....into a old smoker.

The last couple of weeks I've been getting reacquainted with my cinderblock smoker.
I've kinda been ignoring her the last couple of years. :dont:
I built it at least 25 years ago and it has put out many a good smoke. Shes getting along in age as am I, but it still can put out some good cue in spite of her appearance.

Yesterday I hooked up the Perfect Draft blower to the fire box for the first time. The smoker has always held temp very well once it warms up after a couple of hours, but with the blower I used only bout half the wood I would have normally used, once I got the blower dialed in it held my targeted temp of 275, give or take a few degrees, for almost 2 hours. :D

Test run of clucker thighs and breasts.
