24"x36" LSG

Postby bigsmoke » Mon Sep 25, 2017 4:15 pm

Howdy everybody! I've been gone for awhile, but just wanted to put out there that I ordered a custom build from Chris over at Lone Star Grills in August. I am really looking forward to doing some awesome smoking when I get it to SA. Well, that is as soon as I figure out how to get it into my backyard...I mean I know it's on wheels, but my back yard has a pretty big slope. I will just have to lure some of my buddies over with some beer and man handle that sucker I guess... :banghead:

They are quoting 16 weeks but are currently running closer to 19 weeks. I just got a phone call that mine was done today and I ordered it May 11. Now they have to ship it to Michigan.

Start searching for some old 3/4" plywood.... 4'x4' squares work well - full sheets do the job but you'll need a few of them. Leap-frog the sheets as you roll the pit on them and it'll be much easier to move. You didn't say if you got the 8" wheel upgrade. I did and mine still sunk into the East Texas sandy soil within a foot of moving. It could have been the extra weight from the insulated firebox but LSG makes these pits like tanks..... army tanks - not propane tanks.

You're gonna love it.... :chef:
