Hey guys,
Wanted to share my grill build with ya. Finished up this fire pit last year but summer rolled around and needed a bbq grill to go with the pit.

Some build pics:
Some expanded I got at the scrap yard, plasma cutting to size

Might as well practice some tig weaving on the frame:

many beers later.. wala:

On to the frame.
Now I know a lot of people have told me I need to do some kind of height adjustment.. which I might in the future but so far I found that building a grill that slids over the pit actually lets you control the heat pretty well.

Decided to go with an aluminum frame since its light and it doesnt get that hot.

A lot of beveling and welding later:

heres the coal shelf at work:

Thanks man!

So I left the 4 holes on the grill open because I haven't worked out if I should add a rotating spit to it. I'm thinking some kinda cool bolt on cage that I can then put a pig on.

I'd also really like to build a smoker

As an ex welder that build is beautiful, nice fillet welds too. Looks like you know your way around engineering. A rotisserie would be a great addition. Food looks brilliant as well, love seafood. Look forward to additions.
