Just Built Stick Burner
Just had a pit built & need to figure out how to cook on it !! First fire was yesterday but put too much wood -- way too hot ! Will start with charcoal & add a couple pcs of wood next time .

Nice looking pit, love the color on that shelf/table. Now get some meat on there and lets get that smoke on!

Hopefully this weekend the meat will meet the smoke !! I didn't realize I posted the same pic , here's a frontal view. That table is cypress wood, with 4 coats of polyurethane. The color turned out better than I expected.

Re: Just Built Stick Burner
I started with about 5lbs of charcoal & added small pcs of split pecan about every hour. VERY efficient on wood not what I was expecting !! I smoked 2 racks of baby backs temp stayed between 175 - 200 for 6 hrs. Still learning on this one. Drafts excellent with that 4 1/2 ft stack. Very pleased so far !
