Custom Cover?

Postby Diamond 1 Smoke » Mon Oct 24, 2016 12:08 pm

Howdy,
A couple of months ago, I took delivery of my LSG 24 X 48 Offset. I have the benefit of having it under a covered patio but I still would like to protect it from sun and humidity. The only quote I received so far was over $500. Now I'm all about protecting my investment but is there anyone out there that can do a cover for a little less or is this one of those "suck it up" you get what you pay for things? I suppose I could always just go with the blue plastic tarp but that just seems a little tacky. BTW....Extremely happy with the pit but that's another thread...

Thanks in advance

Congrats on the pit.... I have no doubt the 500 buck quote is legit - sewing quality fabric is difficult and having a good fit raises the cost as well. You might consider a motorcycle cover (generic version from Walmart) to give you some time to think what direction to go. A cover won't do squat to protect from humidity - likely to be even wetter underneath the cover but it will keep dust, dirt and pollen off.

A black plastic tarp would be "less tacky" and if tucked and weighted properly might just be OK ? 8)
