Finally got my new tank to build pit!!

Postby TL Parnell » Fri Nov 02, 2007 11:01 pm

[b] :fart: OOPs, excuse me!! LOL! Well sportsfans, I finally got my new 250 gallon "shorty" propane tank to build my new pit! It is the same diameter as a 500 gallon tank, but is half the length as a 5oo! I have most of the material needed to do it, but I'll wait until it gets cold to do it so I can breathe better! I will put at least 2 layers of meat racks in it, maybe 3 if there is as much room as I think there is in it! That sucker is FAT!! I think I will cut my old pit down some & use it for a firebox & part of it maybe for a stand up smoke chamber! I'll also use my trailer that it is on now & put a floor in it to haul some wood on it, I also have a fish cooker to put on it too for a bean or fish cooker burner & a flat surface on the firebox for a sauce warmer. It'll be a good one & probably the last one I'll ever build, hopefully!! That is a helluva lot like work for an old man!! LOL!
God loves you & so do I, in the precious name of Jesus

Be sure to make it upright and direct. Them offset pits are for the birds.
