To me it goes back to a cost/benefit thing. We they pull stuff like that, usually I go to a competitor or go without. Enough folks do that, then their sales drop and they have to react to the market.


The problem is, enough people don't realize the difference and allow companies to get away with the changes... if people never bought stuff from telemarketers and didn't respond to spam e-mails both of those practices would die off... sadly, some people still fall for that sort of thing, and those of us who pay attention suffer.

Swapping to a competitor is always a good plan, unfortunately, they usually make the same changes as it increases their profit margins as well.
