Picked up a piece of casing a few years ago and finally decided to get started on a new pit while its to wet to get in the field.

What are you using to cut the metal? I'm new to fabricating, trying to learn.

very impressed with the skill all you fabricators have. kinda jealous. the spirit is willing to learn but the head and hands could never get it right, and the wallet can't afford the pain.

keep it up! looks really cool.

Piece of BBQ art right there, I like the design and the Craftsmanship. It ought to burn a brisket or two :thap: :thap:

Awesome looking pit. I like the sort of big a** tuning plate off the fire box as there shouldn't be any hot spots. Did you see this design somewhere or dream it up one night? Looks like it is going to cook awesome.

Thanks, pretty much knew I wanted to mount the cook chamber the way I did but had several ideas as far as the tuning/defuser plate. I hope it functions like I think it should.
