Vertical pit build.

Postby Bcovish » Sat May 03, 2014 7:51 pm

First time welder. Bought a 250 gallon tank and did most of my cutting with a saw. Did a lot if learning along the way. Didn't anticipate the doors being so heavy. They sagged pretty good with my custom hinges so went a different route. Sturdy as heck. In the end I think she turned out alright. Not hard on the eyes at all. Going to add a table on the left side tomorrow. Hope y'all like. I have 350 bucks in this pit including all hardware. My budget was 400 so I think I came out alright. Too many things to talk about so if you have any questions fire away. By the way if your looking to build a pit it would have been easier to attach the hinges before totally cutting your doors out. These tanks have a tendency to get out of round when completely cut. Again I'm a beginner. Should have done more researching.
