Guru installation in an offset

Postby Jeff M. » Sun Mar 02, 2014 6:37 pm

I was given a digi q as a Christmas present but haven't yet had the courage to drill a hole in my firebox.

I thought I'd stop by here and see if anyone has any good (or bad) experiences doing this.

Buddy of mine did it but had to use the 20 cfm largest fan. Works great. Still has to add a lot of wood though so i really don't see the point.

I installed a guru on my offset and couldn't have been happier. its plain and simple set it and forget it. a good tip is to build yourself a fire basket. I usually use about less than half a bag of lump mesquite and about 4 or 5 logs on a 10 hr cook. it all depends on the pit your placing it on. hope it helps.
