Im new to this and looking for some help....

Postby WATERTURKEY » Fri Jul 09, 2010 1:43 pm

I have trolled yalls wonderful forum for a while now, and just built up the courage to register. I am very novice when it comes to barbque and figured this was the best place to start. I have just bought my first house and my wife and I are fixing it up (its old). Im putting in a small outdoor kitchen and am looking for someone to build me an open fire grill that I will brick in myself. I have attached a picture of the style of grill I am looking for. Anyone that knows someone in the North Central Texas area that I could contact, would be appreciated. Also, feel free to call me names or give me a hard time because this is not a smoker....But I didn't knwo where else to start. THANKS!

Also wanted to add that I have seen the post about custom grill builder but it seems that the ones I have been in contact with don't really liek to stray from thier own designs....

Welcome to the forum, you gonna fit right in. CF :D
The pit in your photo looks like a California style cooker. I don't know anyone that sells them ready made. Any welding shop could make that for you. and use your design. Any reason for not wanting a closed in smoker? CF :D
OK, get over it, you lost. God bless America

WAY too rich for my blood, plus Im not a huge fan of mass produced items. Id rather find a shade tree welder/fabricator looking for some side jobs....

Welome to the forumn, that is a cool looking grill. I've been wanting to get a brick grill like that but I already have way to much. Can still dream though.
