Texas bbq classes

Postby DR. » Fri Dec 18, 2015 4:55 pm

Can anyone recommend a good competition class here in Texas. Most of my stuff has been geared toward KCBS but would like to take a class from someone who is geared more toward IBCA. Wasn't sure if Ronnie Wade or Dany Leura put on any classes or if anyone else was worth looking at.

Thanks

Redneck Smoker has a great class. He's In Glen Rose. Very good IBCA techniques. Worth the money.

I wish I could just pay for private lessons to learn how to cook IBCA chicken. Our KCBS style chicken has always scored pretty high on a consistent basis, but we've never managed to get a groove going on the half chickens.

I'm not a comp cook, but took Rednecks class a few years ago and it's good for EVERYBODY and all skill levels.
20" x 40" Party Gator Pit
Custom Mobile Stick Burner
Summerset TRL 32" Built-In Grill
Weber Q2200
48" Custom Firepit
Bertello Pizza Oven

I can't always please everybody. I'm not bacon.
