I am on the hunt for a new smoker for competition events. I have landed on a Lang 60" Deluxe smoker. Before I make an investment I would love to hear the good and the bad. Suggestions are also welcome. Thanks guys.

If you are purchasing new and want a reverse flow cooker with craftsmanship that is second to none and a cooker that works call Paul Shirley of Shirley fabrication in Alabama.

I second Shirley's.

Even though I love my trailer pit the thought crosses my mind to sell it just so I can get my hands on one of his.

I have a Lang 36" and I love it. I have never seen Paul Shirley's fabrication, but I am guessing you can't go wrong with either one. Happy cooking. These guys on the forum know what they are talking about.

I sure have seen a lot of J-3 Jambo pits at the comps that I've judged at. Jamie Geer turns out a fine pit, and is a local operation near Ft. Worth.
