The last SCA steak cookoff of the year will be in Decatur on October 25th. This event is paying top ten in steak and also offers a Burger Contest and Margarita contest! The Burger Contest is wide open, the only rules are must turn in 2 burgers, and be in the shape of a burger. You choose your protein, cheeses, buns and toppings. This could get really creative and pays out top 3! There was a BBQ cookoff earlier this year in the same location, there is a lot of room! Teams are encouraged to come out on Friday night and spend the night at this event. Let me know if I can answer any questions for you.

How do steak cook offs work? I've seen a lot of people talking about them and has got me interested in maybe doing one.

I like the fact that they are paying top ten. Hopefully we will get some gas/beer money.
You bbq guys should give steak a try. The sponsor provides the steaks and the SCA process is fast and efficient. You probably won't even get your steaks till 10 AM so that makes for a short cooking day.
