I've been wanting to do this for a long time and we had a blast! I think we have a new hobby after deer season ends.
My team consisted of my wife, son, brother in law and myself. My team was pumped and were a great help all day. The people were some of the nicest I've ever met.
When it came to the actual cooking I felt the best shot I had was in chicken but wasn't called. Ribs went by, still no call. I looked at my son and said "Oh well". Brisket came up and we got 1ST!!! I couldn't believe it!!!
It was a learning experience and I know we will be entering more competitions in the future. Needless to say, all I have done today is look for more amateur competitions to enter
