How do cookoffs work for the public

Postby wtd03 » Fri Sep 27, 2013 1:10 pm

Are they able to come in and sample the food or do they just pay for a ticket to walk around and look at people tend their pits?

Depends..
Some events charge as they usually have something else besides the cook off going on (fair, rodeo, music ect).

If you show up when folks are scrambling for turn ins, the teams won't be so friendly. . If you show up to shoot the shoot during down time, I have yet to run into someone I didn't like

If your there to just sample food.. show up late as everything will be done by then.. after they have called winners, they usually have all turn ins to sample
