Comps that have cabins/ lodging available

Postby atcNick » Sun Mar 24, 2013 8:19 am

I'm looking for competitions in Texas, Louisiana and southern Oklahoma that have cabins or some other type of lodging available to rent.

I know the Smokin on the Red in Bossier city has cabins (I already booked for next years event)

And the TGCBCA event at the koa campground in Montgomery TX in may for members only.

Are there any other out there that I missed? Don't have a camper so I would consider these events before any others. Thanks.

Is there a reason as to why you are wanting a cabin in particular?
Just wondering why not drive and book a local hotel if you dont have camper?

Probably because you can park your pit right outside the cabin...can't do that while in a hotel. I'm seriously thinking about making that 180 mile trek to Bossier City next year, they had a great crowd this year and I have heard nothing but great things about the way it was ran.

I hear Medina Lake has cabins and campers for rent in the area. They say the lake is basically empty but heard good things about the cook off. I was thinking of going down and cooking. I am on vacation starting that weekend...

Lmao!!! It's cause I don't have a camper but still need my AC! Can't get any sleep with a sweaty crack...

With a cabin you can have your pit right outside. It's convenient

I was there, it was awesome! Better book a cabin quick. I booked a couple weeks back and the lakefront row was already full.
