Hi Im James Brooks out of Round Rock Tx, my team name is Boss BBQ. Im new to the competition scene.
I plan to be at the Bad to the bone cook off in Round Rock. How does LSBS judge the rib turn in?

Who all cooked there? How did you do?

I went out and judged semis for beans, prelims for chicken, and finals for cooks choice.

Bad to the Bone was my first time at a real cook-off with real good cooks, I got 4th in chicken not sure how many teams were there. The down side about the cook-off I LOST my brisket ticket while I was walking to get my 4th place chicken prize. I ask the guy in charge can I claim my brisket if it placed, he said no. Long story short 10th place brisket was called and nobody claimed the brisket. Nobody to blame but myself. Special THANK YOU to Doug and Carole Ritter their bbq class helped me out a lot!!! IM HOOKED!!!
