Postby bwsdj » Mon Nov 26, 2012 1:24 pm

Victorinox 12" slicer works just fine and won't hurt your back pocket.

Thanks, Is this the one http://www.amazon.com/Victorinox-12-Inc ... %22+slicer" target="_blank? If so looks pretty nice and not to expensive.

That is the one that I use. Have had it 2 years and have never had to sharpen it yet. Still cuts like new.

Looks like the same one I use.... in fact if you go into the Smokehouse section you'll see it laying across the brisket I cut. Cant complain about it since I've had it and it keeps a nice edge.

+1. I have been very pleased with this knife. It handles well and won't roll over when slicing, so I don't get those slices of brisket that are uneven in thickness on the top or bottom. Nice and uniform every time.

+1. I bought it this summer after recommendations from blog members, it is the father ninja of slicers. Came in handy when I put my herb garden in too (cops are still looking for 'ol Herb's body).
