Need Help on name

Postby HillCountryKid » Thu Jun 14, 2012 2:27 pm

I am trying to come up with a name for my team. One that I like is Yard Bird BBQ; do you think anyone will take offence to this? I did not at first, but have asked a couple of people and getting different feelings?
Look forward to the feed back.

I cant think of any reason anyone would be offended by Yard Bird BBQ - what part of that is offensive?

Chickens would take offense to that slur! HaHa!! I would just google it to make sure it's not taken. Wouldn't worry about offending anyone.

Yardbird is a term often associated with African-Americans referencing chicken. I personally dont see it in anyways offensive, but these days some people seem to get offended if you breathe the wrong way. :dont:

That was what someone told me, but I was making reference to Foghorn Leghorn, he syas it a couple of times. How do you know if the name has been used by another team?

Thanks for the help

I google the name you're looking at and see if anything pops up
