Postby Possum 1 » Tue Mar 27, 2012 9:42 pm

Newbie in a small work related cook-off this weekend. Our team is cooking Brisket, beans, whole chickens, ribs, chili, open division, dessert, and bloody Mary's. Can someone please post pics of how you guy's present/submit for judging. Do you plate/box? What do you use to submit your chili in, beans in? Any tips and tricks of the trade would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

My suggestion? Stay out of the bloody Mary's until after you turn in your boxes.

Seriously though I think there are some box photos going back in the archives here in the competition section that are good. One in particular that I thought was fantastic was Jamey's chicken turn in for this year's Houston livestock show that was really good. Will look for it.

Found it! It was actually Bluz's and Jamey's I think, and in CowboyDon's post Feb 27th. You cook one of these, you'll win something.

LSBS needs to change out that brisket picture, really poor exposure. Thing looks green like Martian meat! No offense, LSBS, just sayin'.
