I had a German girl named Angelika that I worked with that said Americans don't know what good is, that mayo isn't good unless it is homemade.

I'll have to agree that homemade is better, but for a late evening snack or meal when ya don't really want to mess with the eggs, oil, lemon juice etc. and don't want to dirty up dishes and/or appliances, Hellman's works pretty good.
