CFP for Dinner

Postby OSD » Thu Oct 01, 2009 7:39 pm

Instead of CFS, I made another favorite of mine, CFP. Chicken Fried Pork. :D

Image
chunks of pork loin

Image
pounded out and tenderized

I put these in a bowl and let them soak in buttermilk for about 2 hours. Then double dredged them in seasoned flour and egg wash.

Image
fried them in lard seasoned with bacon fat.
used some of the drippings after frying to make some milk gravy.

Image
had this peach cobbler in the oven while I was cooking everything

Image
couple fried eggs, CFP, fried taters with onions, and topped with milk gravy and fresh cracked black pepper

Image
and peach cobbler with a scoop of Blue Bell for dessert :D

I could go for some of that. I like eggs with my pork - a lot of thin cut chops for breakfast. Gonna have to try the tenderized pork. Oh my, I'll never lose weight staying on this forum!
