Trout Menuire, Cedar Planked Spinach, and Corn on the Cob

Postby egghead » Sun Aug 09, 2009 8:33 pm

Loaded up a cedar plank with fresh spinach, blue cheese, bacon bits, and pecans

The corn had been on the grill for a while already and pan fried a couple spec filets in a brown butter sauce with capers

Looks awesome EH. Is there a certain kind of cedar wood to use? Will fence slats work if untreated?

The one I used on this cook was a store bought plank for grilling. Untreated fence slats work mightyfine and are much cheaper. You can also cut them to fit your grid or whatever it is you are cooking. I have several cut different sizes to fit each of my Eggs.
