I bought a unique cooking vessel from Morocco about 3 months ago to make food for my friend Youseff from Morocco. I decided to make a Tagine meal for my wife and myself last night. It consisted of lamb, carrots, garbanzo beans, onions, Greek olives, pine nuts, seven spices, Moroccan preserved lemons... I served it over a bed of 'Cous Cous" ... It was very delicious!!!

Looks good.
What is unique about your Tagine? Is it made different or from different material? Was just wondering because the one I have is the traditional clay type. But I have seen a LeCreuset that is enameled cast iron.

It's only uniqe because I live in south Texas and very few people have seen or heard of them.. It's a clay one with fish pattern on the side that's all.... The Cast iron ones would be much better because they don't crack.. But they are Mucho dinero.... What's your favorite recipe to make on your Tagine?

It's very similar to yours, it's an Apricot Chicken Tagine with a Cilantro Couscous ( Pam's favorite ).

Looks very tasty! And healthy too.
CostPlus had an "authentic" tangine that I was eyeing that would have fit nicely in Einstein. It was earthenware (clay), not cast iron with enamel. After dwelling on it too long, went to get it and they we sold out. That's what I get for attempting to get permission from the war department
