Mudbugs from Krogers

Postby JamesB » Tue Apr 28, 2009 7:09 pm

Went by the local grocery yesterday and they had live crawfish for $.99lb. Only picked up about 6lbs, but it was good...

No corn, taters, onions, garlic or sausage, just spiced up water and bugs...

My small portion. The kiddos at the rest... If they still have them this weekend, I'm thinking 20lbs or so should go down good...

I'd be all over THAT, especially for $0.99/lb! No live mudbugs around here. I LOVE me some crawfish!

One of the stores in Frisco told me they would have them this W/E but I had to buy a whole bag (35#) to get the .99 price. Time for a LC boil......

Lotsa work, but so worth it! The only thing missing from your picture was a cold brew to go with the bugs.

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm... That looks so good! Last time I had some was almost 30 years ago when they were kinda plentiful in some of the streams and Lake Washington. Haven't seen them in any market... :(
