Black Eyed Peas & Cornbread

Postby tex_toby » Sun Mar 01, 2009 11:20 pm

We made a meal out of just this tonight. I de-boned a pork shoulder from a wild hog I had in the freezer this weekend and kept the bone and some trimmings for this pot of Black Eyed Peas I made today. In the crockpot this morning went the bone with some meat attached from the shoulder, the trimmings, jalapenos, bacon, salt & pepper. It has brewed all day makin' the house smell quite good! :D We then whipped up some cornbread and dug in!

Have to agree with everone else; I not only love black eyed susans but I will eat corn bread with anything including crumbled up in a cold glass of buttermilk for desert.
