Ham and beans with cornbread - final pics added

Postby OSD » Fri Feb 06, 2009 12:39 pm

I was looking around in the freezer yesterday and found a ham bone an and some chunks of ham from the last double smoked ham I did. So, I figured a big pot of ham and beans sounded good. :D

soaked the beans overnight, rinsed and ready

Put the ham and beans into a big pot. On the stove this morning to slow cook all day

Darn, now I have to smell this cooking all day.

Can't hardly wait til dinner time to put these pans to use for the cornbread.

Looking OK from here. I love those large Lima's. I have found the real large Lima's at the Mid-East stores. I also see you are about the use our Chile cornbread pan. I have a recipe for Creole Lima's also very good, will post it. CF :D
OK, get over it, you lost. God bless America

I'll eat butterbeans if I get a chance. Those look really good. Glad you reminded me to fix a pot of them soon.
